Nearby you come upon the to Lyre River Campground segment, a grade IV-V sweep of whitewater. It's a good 3-mile-long sweep on Lyre River. Paddlers on this sweep of Lyre River should have quite a little bit of practice in whitewater rafting or kayaking.
