Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Excelsior dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Duwamish River for all you adrenaline junkies. Beaches are great; and Matthews Beach near Excelsior is no exception, and tremendous water scenery is available at Ballinger Lake Outlet Dam close to Excelsior. There are so many cool things near Excelsior, and spending time at
this campground is incredibly enjoyable. Some activities here at Excelsior are fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so almost certainly you want to stay a bit.
