Driftwood RV Park, Olympic Mountains, Washington   Our Park is located on the Long Beach peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia river. The Park is 2. 2 acres with 56 sites on it. All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis     and Clark's discovery in 1805. A great place to do exploring, fishing, hiking, and just being able to set on the beach and enjoy nature. The town of Long Beach still retains some of the old charm from the 40's and 50's, yet being able to provide you with up to date services. Great dinning is available from several restaurants. Horse back riding, the Dunes Beach trail that now leads from Ilwaco north to north 16th St in Long Beach (7+ miles). Many events throughout the year gives you many opportunities to enjoy the various things, like kit flying, sand castle building, and the local culture. A spree to Fort Clatsop National Memorial is recommended, and lots of folks from Long Beach come here. Why not visit a swamp like Cranberry Marsh since you're here at Driftwood RV Park, and Fort Canby State Park is worth stopping   at. Driftwood RV Park sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do close to Driftwood RV Park. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Olympic Mountains has to offer. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Naselle River - North Fork, and since you're here you can play some golf at Peninsula Golf Course. At Driftwood RV Park through the summer highs are in the 60's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Driftwood RV Park descend into the 30's. This campground is always a joy. Loomis Lake State Park is a splendid place to go if you're at Driftwood RV Park, and you're probably keen on lakes, Breaker Lake is one of those nearby.
