Driftwood RV Park, Olympic Mountains, Washington Custom Search   Our Park is located on the Long Beach peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia river. The Park is 2. 2 acres with 56 sites on it. All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis     and Clark's discovery in 1805. A great place to do exploring, fishing, hiking, and just being able to set on the beach and enjoy nature. The town of Long Beach still retains some of the old charm from the 40's and 50's, yet being able to provide you with up to date services. Great dinning is available from several restaurants. Horse back riding, the Dunes Beach trail that now leads from Ilwaco north to north 16th St in Long Beach (7+ miles). Many events throughout the year gives you many opportunities to enjoy the various things, like kit flying, sand castle building, and the local culture. Swamps don’t sound that perfect but Cranberry Marsh near Driftwood RV Park is rather perfect; if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Naselle River - North Fork. Looking for a great spree? Fort   Clatsop National Memorial is relatively near Driftwood RV Park; Fort Canby State Park is a fine location to go. Driftwood RV Park is a quite wet place ordinarily with much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month of the year is July. This campground has so much fun stuff to offer. Peninsula Golf Course is a golf course close to Driftwood RV Park, and a tour to Loomis Lake State Park revives the spirit. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Driftwood RV Park has it all. High temperatures at Driftwood RV Park during the long summer days are in the 60's with night lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Driftwood RV Park. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Tinker Lake; during your trip here you'll meet some people from Long Beach for sure.
