A nearby class II-III whitewater stretch is to be found on Jennings       Creek; the Route 614 to James River segment is 4.5 miles long. Don’t depend on remaining dry raft paddling this stretch of Jennings Creek if you're not an experienced paddler. Check circumstances previous to going on the whitewater,   or else it's not secure. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby The Homestead. A wonderful zoo next to Wonderful Life Campground is Virginia Safari Park; they have lots of gorgeous animals.
