Wintergreen has fine slopes and a friendly staff; you can run the rapids of Appomattox River. The South Forty Koa is a place with many visitors from Carson, and a nice site for whitewater paddling is James River. The South Forty     Koa is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August, and April on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at The South Forty Koa through the days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at The South Forty Koa are in the 20's. The South Forty Koa is a campground quite often visited by folks in Carson. Such a great selection of attractions and the great variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back again and again.
