This campground is peaceful, serene, and beautiful. The north fork of the Holston River passes along one side of the property. There is a lot to do for families and it isn't far from civilization if you're in need of some contact. They have hot showers, a store, and a pool on the |

If the weather is good here at Riverside Campground, you can go for a hike along the Wyatt Fire Trail; a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Sycamore Shoals State Park. What a place
| this is for outdoors people. Going for a hike along the Bear Wallow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Clear Creek Golf Club is a golf course close by. If you feel like a little side journey, try Short Hollow, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Holston River - South Fork. Take a hike on the Wyatt Fire Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Abingdon here. Coming to this campground is always a good idea. Hiking along the The Lonesome Pine Trail is wonderful fun; get dripping wet paddling on Big Cedar Creek. | |

Visit Falls Hill Creek if you're here at Riverside Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clinch River. This campground is so picturesque. Interesting geology is available here; Pinnacle is near Riverside Campground. For the period of the warm months at Riverside
Campground temperatures are commonly in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Riverside Campground. Riverside Campground gets a large amount of water; July is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest.
