Riverside Campground, Virginia

  This campground is peaceful, serene, and beautiful. The north fork of the Holston River passes along one side of the property. There is a lot to do for families and it isn't far from civilization if you're in need of some contact. They have hot showers, a store, and a pool on the grounds. Riverside Campground is a top selection campground with the
    residents of Abingdon. So much cool stuff in the vicinity of Riverside Campground; it's always fun being here. Short Hollow is right next door to Riverside Campground and is unquestionably a glorious location to have a look at, and Clear Creek Golf Club is a great golf course nearby.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clinch River, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the The Lonesome Pine Trail. The obliging operators of the campground and all the fun things to do beat anything.
This sector of Virginia is always a pleasure to visit all through camping season. There's more to do in the neighborhood of Riverside Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.
So many enjoyable things to do at Riverside Campground, so little time. Drift
 
down the rapids of Big Cedar Creek in a kayak; if you want to go to some attention-grabbing stuff, go to Pinnacle. Riverside Campground typically gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. This campground is a pretty place to visit. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Holston River - South Fork, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Wyatt Fire Trail.
Riverside Campground is not far at all from Abingdon, and Sycamore Shoals State Park is a glorious site to go. The pleasant pick of local attractions, and so much stuff to do are perfect incentives to come. Going for a hike on the Wyatt Fire Trail is always a good adventure; let's not forget Falls Hill Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay.
At this campground you will always have a pleasant time. Near Riverside Campground you come across the Bear Wallow Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. At Riverside Campground during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Riverside Campground.
