I love riverside campground in abingdon VA. It offers so much to do for every one. Its safe and family oriented. Says Erin Sanders
This campground is peaceful, serene, and beautiful. The north fork of the Holston River passes along one side of the property. There is a lot to do for families and it isn't far from civilization if you're in need of some contact. They have hot showers, a store, and a pool on the |

Sycamore Shoals State Park is a good location to go to, and the The Lonesome Pine Trail offers hiking at its best. This campground is a beautiful site to go to. If you come at the right time of year, Clinch
| River offers some perfect whitewater, and do take a hike on the Wyatt Fire Trail. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at Riverside Campground, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 40's while Riverside Campground nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's.
