Says crystal and mike Hiking is a popular thing to     do around Misty Mountain Camp Resort; Wildcat Ridge Trail is a glorious local trail; places like Holliday Lake State Park are brilliant to visit. This campground is so magnificent. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hardware River - South Fork, and Yellow Mountain is clearly visible from Misty Mountain Camp Resort. Go for a hike on the Sawmill Ridge Trail. At Misty Mountain Camp Resort you always meet someone from Batesville; get covered with water paddling on South River. The annual precipitation here at Misty Mountain Camp Resort is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; January is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is good on Moormans River, and hey, Stony Run is a good local stream. If you get bored of Misty Mountain Camp Resort, you could also explore close by Sportsman Lake;   there are magnificent places to discover along the Turk Branch Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer at Misty Mountain Camp Resort highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Misty Mountain Camp Resort nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. At this campground you will always have a magnificent time. Good hiking is available along the Turk Mountain Trail, also Whites Dam is worth a visit if you're here.
