If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mcguire's Campground; Fire Trail is a brilliant local trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Walker Creek. The personnel of this nice campground and all the great passtime activities will make you feel good.

This is such a wonderful campground. The Poverty Creek Horse Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's whitewater on Little River - New R. Tributary for all you adrenaline
people. Mcguire's Campground is one of the sites to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff right next door to Mcguire's Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Brush Mountain Horse Trail, and you certainly must stop
by Claytor Lake State Park since you're here. The amount of rain that falls at Mcguire's Campground is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Many people select Mcguire's Campground when going to Claytor Lake State Park.
