The welcoming reception and all the amusing stuff to do beat anything. If you come to this campground, you will have a fine time for sure. A trip to Moncove Lake State Park invigorates
| the soul; going for a hike along the Fire Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
Through the summertime here at Mcguire's Campground, high temperatures usually get into the 80's; the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mcguire's Campground temperatures dip to the 20's. on New River; close by you come across the Ripple Trail which is a good hiking trail. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the amusing stuff you can do is swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen.
This campground
has so much enjoyable stuff to offer. Nearby lakes? Sure, Claytor Lake is near Mcguire's Campground, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Conservancy Trail. There's whitewater on Little River - New R. Tributary for all you adrenaline people; on a splendid day you
can take a hike along the Brush Mountain Horse Trail.
Mcguire's Campground is an old favorite with people in Belspring. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If the weather is magnificent here at Mcguire's Campground, you
can go for a hike along the Poverty Creek Horse Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Walker Creek. Mcguire's Campground is a good spot of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is January.
In Virginia you never run out of outdoors amusing stuff. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always stunning.
