Long's Campground, Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia   You just ought to like Long's Campground. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get wet paddling on Marl Creek; a magnificent location like Douthat State Park is too great to leave out. There's more to do close to Long's Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so perhaps you want to stay a while. The surroundings of this campground have so much stuff to offer. Going for a hike on the Goshen Pass Trail is always a perfect adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Maury River. The good pick of local attractions, and such a good variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back repeatedly. This camp ground is located in the pretty Blue Ridge Mountains. During the days of summer highs here at Long's Campground reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Long's Campground dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
