A normal     amount of precipitation falls here at Log Cabin Campground; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This is a great campground. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Back Creek - Potomac Tributary, and Appalachian National Scenic Trail is one of the destinations that are great to go to nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Good hiking is available along the Old Romney Grade. For the period of the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Log Cabin Campground. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Log Cabin Campground. You can run the rapids of Back Creek - Potomac Tributary right next door to Log Cabin   Campground; at Log Cabin Campground you always meet someone from Cross Junction. Cacapon River is a fine whitewater spot close to Log Cabin Campground, and Cacapon State Park is a brilliant place to have a look at.
