There are some great whitewater spots on Tye River, and a tour to Holliday Lake State Park rejuvenates the spirit. Liberty Oakes Camp gets a lot     of water; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and December is when it's the driest. This campground is so stunning. You can run the rapids of Rucker Run near Liberty Oakes Camp; during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Red House for sure. For the period of the summertime months at Liberty Oakes Camp temperatures are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's.
