Loads of people camp here for the purpose of being right next door to Jefferson National Forest.

The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Grindstone. If you come to this campground, you will have a brilliant time for sure. Get soaked paddling on Craig Creek; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Fenwick Nature Trail.
Grindstone is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains. This campground has so incredibly much. Carvins Cove Dam is an exciting thing to check out; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Barbours Creek.
