Going for a hike on the Curry Creek Trail is always a delightful adventure; you can see Round Hill from Grindstone. Throughout the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Grindstone. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Grindstone throughout the wintertime frequently sink into the 20's. |

of being in the neighborhood of Jefferson National Forest. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Barbours Creek; glorious hiking is available along the Spec Mines Trail. Grindstone is in close proximity to Smith Mountain Lake State Park which is a beautiful place;
you can run the rapids of Craig Creek. The splendid pick of local attractions, and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation are good causes to come. This is in fact a magnificent campground. Go for a hike on the Dragon Tooth Trail; if you have time, Booker T Washington
National Monument is a national park worth visiting. There are glorious locations to discover along the Fenwick Nature Trail, and not far from Grindstone you acquire some perfect water scenery at Carvins Cove Dam. The surroundings of this campground have so much stuff to offer.
There's whitewater on Catawba Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and if you've had enough of Grindstone, Carvins Cove Reservoir is nearby. So much cool stuff near Grindstone, and it's always fun to be at this campground. This site is great, just check out all the cool things
