| | Dixie Caverns is enormously well esteemed by the people from Elliston. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Roanoke River - South Fork; Moncove Lake State Park is worth visiting. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back repeatedly. This is in fact a wonderful campground. Have a good hiking adventure along the Potts Mountain Trail; Dry Hollow is another good location |
to visit nearby. It's completely out of the question to run out of fun things to do right next door to Dixie Caverns; camping is such a fun thing to do, and this is a brilliant place to do that. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is plentiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
| Take a hike on the North Mountain Trail; as expected, everybody loves Jefferson National Forest. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Trout Creek Appalachian Trail, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Roanoke River - North Fork. For the period of the summertime here at Dixie Caverns, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dixie Caverns. This camp ground is one of the splendid places to camp here | |

of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bottom Creek, and going for a hike along the Potts Arm Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Man, is there lots
of entertaining stuff to do in the neighborhood of Dixie Caverns. Booker T Washington National Monument is a great local destination here at Dixie Caverns, and Mill Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. This section of Virginia has a brilliant deal of
outdoors activities available. There's a heap of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. The personnel who's always there to assist and the great facilities beat anything. Hiking is a popular
thing to do around Dixie Caverns; Dragon Tooth Trail is a good local trail; during your journey here you'll meet some people from Elliston for sure.
