It is wonderful experience, there are so many travelers and even the local people have found a wonderful and peaceful place to retreat for the weekend, we really enjoy the Martin's (owners) friendship,campfires,and the homemade ice cream shared over the summer. the Cliff Branch Trail offers hiking at its best. There's good hiking along the Rocky Hollow Trail, and great hiking is available along the Walker Mountain Trail. You can run the rapids of Reed Creek in the vicinity of Deer Trail Park and Campground; Galewinds Golf Course is
a good golf course nearby. This place, Deer Trail Park and Campground, it clearly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Pinnacle Rock State Park is a good site to stretch your legs a bit, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Horse Heaven Trail. This is a nice campground.
You'll meet a lot of people from Wytheville here; hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Trail Park and Campground; Miles Gap Trail is a great local trail.
