There's whitewater on Back Creek - Potomac Tributary for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and Candy Hill Campground is close to Cacapon State Park which is a pretty place. The amount of rain that falls at Candy Hill Campground is close to the national average; July is the wettest month with most rain while January is commonly the driest month. There's so much stuff to do at Candy Hill Campground including fishing, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so possibly you want to stay a while. If time allows, Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a national park worth visiting, and when you're here it's always fun to pop by Sky Meadows State Park.
