There are magnificent locations to look at along the College Run Trail; Lake Maury is a nice lake close by. Buford Islands sees pretty high levels of rain; July is the month that gets the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. Go for a hike on the Forestry Trail; as expected, everyone loves Chippokes Plantation State Park.

Coming to this campground is always a great idea. Going for a hike on the James River Trail is always a good adventure, and while you're here and you like golf, you can explore Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort. Buford Islands is a campground that is exceptionally prized by the people
from Hampton.
Through the long summer days highs here at Buford Islands get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Buford Islands.
