The Dragon Tooth Trail offers hiking at its best, and a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Barbours Creek. Beartree is liked by the residents of Cloverdale. | Craig Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. This is such a fun place for a campground. Ole Monterey Golf Club is a golf course near Beartree; Beartree is not far at all from Roanoke. This camp ground is one of the great places to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This part of Virginia is always a joy to stop at throughout camping season. like lakes. Carvins Cove Reservoir is a lake close by, and on a lovely day you get a magnificent panorama of Round Hill from Beartree. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. An afternoon playing golf at Brookside Par 3 Golf
Course is always a diversion, and a spree to Smith Mountain Lake State Park revitalizes the spirit. All through the summertime months highs here at Beartree get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the
40's, and nighttime lows at Beartree all through the wintertime generally dip into the 20's. It's just not possible to run out of entertaining stuff to do near Beartree; it is a very great campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beartree; Fenwick Nature Trail is
a fine local trail, and going to Booker T Washington National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as whitewater paddling, playing golf, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so running out of
enjoyable things to do won’t happen. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A quick trip to Carvin Creek close to Beartree is a tremendous idea, and Jefferson National Forest is a nice place. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area
right next door to Beartree has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Curry Creek Trail, and you can go for a hike on the North Mountain Trail.
