| | Beartree is positioned in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. If you're here at Beartree, you could check out Carvin Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Barbours Creek. The positive environment and the fantastically skillfully controlled facilities are in themselves reason enough to come here. High temperatures at Beartree during the long summer days are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime |
come with highs in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Beartree temperatures descend to the 20's. Some of the things you can do here at Beartree are fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and playing golf, so probably you want to stay a bit. The magnificent
| selection of local attractions, and the close by outdoors recreation are great reasons to come. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do near Beartree. The vistas at Booker T Washington National Monument will blow your mind, and going for a hike along the Curry Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Beartree is very popular with the folks in Cloverdale. Beartree is in close proximity to Smith Mountain Lake State Park which is a wonderful place, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Fenwick Nature Trail. | |

Beartree is a spot with many visitors from Roanoke, and you certainly must explore Jefferson National Forest while you're here. This section of Virginia has a good deal of outdoors activities on hand. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why
not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Ole Monterey Golf Club, and the Spec Mines Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. This is such a delightful campground. On a pretty day you obtain a sight of Round Hill from Beartree; get wet paddling on Catawba Creek.
This campground is always a pleasure. If you come at the right time of year, Craig Creek offers some good whitewater, and hiking along the North Mountain Trail is splendid fun. Having a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is uncomplicated. At Carvins Cove Dam near Beartree there
are some exciting things to see; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Dragon Tooth Trail. Anxious to pitch that tent; Beartree is a good local campground if you happen to be in Virginia. A gorgeous lake like Carvins Cove Reservoir near Beartree is a splendid
spot to explore, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Brookside Par 3 Golf Course is in close proximity. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beartree gets a common amount of annual rain; the month of July is the wettest with most
of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's no way to run out of cool stuff to do in the vicinity of Beartree; if you're seeking a good spot to go camping for a couple of days, this is a great selection.
