| | Nice place to enjoy friends and unwind. The campground boasts a fishing pond (catch and release), nature trails, a swimming pool, clean facilities and friendly staff. The Hutchinson family has owned an operated it since it opened in 1972. The campground has 30 amp with full hookups and also has a few sites with 50 amp. They offer wagon rides and a pavilion for activities which can be reserved for family gatherings and such.
Located nearby is the Morefield Mine which offers rock mining which is fun for all age prospectors. Amelia has the largest supply |
of Amazonite found anywhere! You may even find a prize piece of Garnet.
Amelia Family Campground is the home of The Central Virginia Family Bluegrass Music Festival which has been held here for 30 years. Some of the biggest names in the Bluegrass industry have graced this
