Amelia Family Campground, Virginia Custom Search   Nice place to enjoy friends and unwind. The campground boasts a fishing pond (catch and release), nature trails, a swimming pool, clean facilities and friendly staff. The Hutchinson family has owned an operated it since it opened in 1972. The campground has 30 amp with full hookups and also has a few sites with 50 amp. They offer wagon rides and a pavilion for activities which can be reserved for family gatherings and such. Pocahontas State Park is both good and lovely, and it's next to Amelia Family Campground; not far from Amelia Family Campground you'll discover Whites Pond which is a pretty lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Amelia Family Campground. Amelia Family Campground is a good site of typical rainfall; the month   of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
