Running Bear Camping Area, Vermont

What would winter be without some skiing at Ascutney, and going for a hike on the Mount Peg Foot and Bridal Trails is always a great adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Running Bear Camping Area. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Running Bear Camping Area.
Vermont is a fine outdoors state. So much exciting stuff right next door to Running Bear Camping Area; it is a very fine campground. This campground
 
is so tremendous. Mill Brook flows through this area; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Hang Glider Trail.
On a great day at Running Bear Camping Area you can take a hike along the Slot Trail, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Black River. Running Bear Camping Area is a very popular old favorite campground among visitors from Windsor. You've been indoors for too long, you have to get out of the house; Running Bear Camping Area in Vermont is the outdoors at its finest.
The accommodating operators of the campground and the capably taken care of facilities have many folks coming here. A lot of folks stay at Running Bear Camping Area to be in the neighborhood of Wilgus State Park. The top of Barber Mountain is easily seen from Running Bear Camping Area, and a trip to Ascutney State Park revives the soul.
Playing golf is lots of fun at Claremont Country Club Country Club. A delightful location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Running Bear Camping Area is Bloods Brook; if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Futures Trail.
