Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and as expected, everybody loves New Discovery State Park.
There's plenty of outdoors recreation available nearby such as whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and fishing, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Winooski River; on a beautiful day you get a glorious sight of Maple Hill from Onion River Campground.
A visit to Vermont is not complete without some camping. Take a hike on the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop, and if you're here, you could check
 
out King Brook.
This is such a lovely campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Owls Head Trail; Boulder Beach State Park is worth taking a look at. An average amount of rain falls at Onion River Campground; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. Hiking along the Little Deer Trail is wonderful fun, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Stowe.
The Silver Ledge Trail offers hiking at its best, and get soaked paddling on Minister Brook. Onion River Campground is an old favorite with folks in Marshfield.
This camp ground is one of the great spots to camp here in the Green Mountains. For the duration of the summer at Onion River Campground temperatures are usually in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Onion River Campground. Lots of folks stay here so they can go to New Discovery State Park.
