Old Lantern Campground, Vermont Custom Search   The Old Lantern is no longer used as a campground. Only the large barn is rented out for events, but no overnight accomodations are available currently. Says Lisa Sorry, this campground has been removed from our data base. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's swimming, playing golf, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. The positive atmosphere       and a magnificent variety of enjoyable things makes the journey here worthwhile. You've gotta get out, and Old Lantern Campground in Vermont is a great selection. Many folks stay at this campground in order to be near Mt. Philo   State Park. So many local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are splendid reasons to come. Quite a lot of enjoyable things to do right next door to Old Lantern Campground, and when you spend some time here you will feel like a new person. If you are in Vermont through camping season, you have to go camping. A magnificent 10-mile-long whitewater part on Lewis Creek is nearby. This, the Prindle Corner to Lake Champlain segment, is a type II.       In case you exclusively hold very little know-how in whitewater rafting or kayaking, this part of Lewis Creek could be a magnificent whitewater rafting or kayaking part. Whitewater rapids are hazardous phenomenons, so you must check   conditions before heading out. You'll meet a lot of people from Charlotte here, and why not bring the young ones to Zachary's Family Fun Center during your stay at Old Lantern Campground. Pringle Brook is a good local stream, and the wonderful marina of Essex Shipyard & Rudder Club is an excellent place to leave dry land behind.
