Old Lantern Campground, Vermont Custom Search   The Old Lantern is no longer used as a campground. Only the large barn is rented out for events, but no overnight accomodations are available currently. Says Lisa Sorry, this campground has been removed from our data base. But you can find other nearby campgrounds in the side column. Visit Pringle Brook while you're here at Old Lantern Campground, and needless to say, everybody loves Mt. Philo State Park. The warmest time of the year at Old Lantern Campground arrives with high temperatures in     the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Old Lantern Campground. This is a brilliant campground. You can observe Barber Hill from Old Lantern Campground, and you can run the rapids of Boquet River - North Branch. This campground is so brilliant. The slopes of Cochran Ski Center are so inviting nobody can resist. Old Lantern Campground gets a normal amount of precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of Old Lantern Campground. There's whitewater on Boquet River for all you adrenaline kick people, and an afternoon playing golf at Kwiniaska; Golf Club is always a delight. Nearby lakes? Sure, Duck Pond is right next door to Old Lantern   Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Beaver Meadow Trail. There are some good whitewater spots on Lewis Creek, and Kingsland Bay State Park is a perfect location to go. Going for a hike along the Abbey Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and the great folks of Charlotte like to hang out close by.
