since you're here at Abel Mountain Campground. This campground is a beautiful spot to pop by. Hiking along the Bear Hill Trail is good fun; if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Montague Golf Club. Having a delightful time in the Green Mountains is trouble-free.
Going for a hike along the Barnard Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on White River - First Branch. The annual rain here at Abel Mountain Campground is about average; August is when
you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. Getting to Riford Brook from Abel Mountain Campground is easy, and locations like Allis State Park are great to explore. This is such a fun spot for a campground. White River is a great whitewater spot right next door
to Abel Mountain Campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Clark Brook Trail. For the duration of the summer here at Abel Mountain Campground, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 50's.
For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Abel Mountain Campground temperatures fall to the 0's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Green Mountains has to offer. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Mad River, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Randolph here.
