Homestead Campgrounds gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. This is a delightful campground. Whitewater paddling is nice on Huntington River, and there are good places to discover along the Southern Tip Trail. All the delightful   local attractions in the neighborhood and such a delightful variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike on the Island Farm Nature Trail is always a fine adventure, and this is a popular site for folks from Milton. This campground is so delightful. The snow is tremendous at Cochran Ski Center, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Browns River. Among the things you can do right next door to Homestead Campgrounds are swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, playing golf, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. At Homestead Campgrounds during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Homestead Campgrounds nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
