| | This campground is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Moose River; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Pisgah Trail. You absolutely should adore Fireside Campground. Go for a hike on the South Shore Hiking Trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Newport Country Club. So many local attractions and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. | in the vicinity of Fireside Campground; soar down the rapids of Clyde River in a kayak. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Burke Mountain, and Bates Hill is clearly visible from Fireside Campground. Greens Brook flows through this area, and nothing beats kicking back at Balm of Gilead Beach. There's more to do close to Fireside Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, playing golf, fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. Campground in Vermont is such a nice place. The positive ambiance and the incredibly perfectly controlled facilities attract folks from far and near. Going for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is always a good adventure, and you'll come across a wonderful lake called Lake
Salem. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You certainly must take a look at Crystal Lake State Park since you're here at Fireside Campground. Fireside Campground is frequently visited by folks of Derby. Through the warm days of summer at Fireside Campground
temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Fireside Campground dip into the 0's.
