Hiking along the Hop Valley Trail is good fun, and the nice people of Cedar City like to hang out close by. This is such a fun place for a campground. You can catch a sight of The Knoll from Duck Creek, and get soaked paddling on Virgin River - North Fork. Duck Creek is right by the Kolob Arch Trail, and if you have the time, Cedar Breaks National Monument is a national park worth a visit.
