Balsam - Uinta National Forest, Wasatch Range, Utah   Famous Utah hospitality and all the amusing stuff to do are in themselves cause enough to come here. The good local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation are wonderful causes to come. Some of the things you can do here at Balsam are hiking, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so running out of amusing stuff to do won’t happen. This campground is a good site to explore. Mill Race flows through this region, and nice hiking is available along the Mount Timpanogos Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things     the Wasatch Range has to offer. If time allows, Timpanogos Cave National Monument is a national park worth checking out; Balsam is in close proximity to Deer Creek State Park which is a pretty location. So many entertaining things in the neighborhood of Balsam, and it is a very pleasant campground. There are some nice whitewater spots on Provo River; you positively must pop by Utah Lake State Park if you're here. A lot of people choose Balsam in order to be close to Utah Lake State Park. Utah is a pleasant place for campers. There's whitewater on Big Cottonwood Creek for all you adrenaline kick people; there are plenty of people from Provo here. Balsam is an old favorite with people from Provo. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Wasatch Range is unbeatable! Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sundance,   and don't leave Balsam without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail. Be careful coming to Balsam, you might not ever want to go back home again. Playing golf is lots of fun at East Bay Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Spanish Fork. At Balsam you don’t see much rainfall; April is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Coming to this campground is always a good idea. A visit to California National Historic Trail is worthwhile. We all need to go for a camping trip now and then, and Balsam in Utah is such a pleasant place. For the period of the summer months at Balsam temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Balsam temperatures plunge to the 10's. This camp ground is to be found in the pretty Wasatch Range.
