Tradewinds Resort, Texas Custom Search   Trade Winds RV Resort is an active adult community for RVers and mobile homes alike located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley.  It is perfect for the retiree or senior looking for warm winters and an active RV Park.  This park is known for having the friendliest people in the RGV.  Its location is second to none.  As part of the Mission Bell RV Resort, the combined halls, heated salt water swimming pools, shuffleboard, pool halls and wifi are sure to please any customer.  The sites all have FHUs, concrete patios (some are deluxe with huge concrete     pads) and the roads are paved throughout the Resort.  All shower rooms have been remodeled.  The location is near bowling, movies, golf, Mexico, major shopping, the McAllen convention center, dozens of restaurants and top quality medical care.  Nature is all around with several world class birding and butterfly centers, Rio Grande River trips and the beaches of South Padre Island. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Tradewinds Resort; Bentsen - Rio Grande Valley State Park Trail is a perfect local trail, and if you get bored of Tradewinds Resort you could also pop by close by Sardinas Resaca. Tradewinds Resort gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during September while March is frequently the driest month. This is such a scenic campground. A trip to Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park when you're here at   Tradewinds Resort is never a bad idea; golf can be played at Martin Valley Ranch Golf Course. All through the long summer days highs here at Tradewinds Resort reach the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's while Tradewinds Resort overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 40's. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Tradewinds Resort has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge Trail, and for you golfers we recommend close by El Nino Golf Course.
