Every Tuesday is Jam Day for local musicians to showcase their talents in our Rec Hall. Weekly classes in Spanish (Speaking), Computer (Using), Line Dancing, Watercolor and Craft Making. There are plenty of organized activities offered every week; Bowling, Cribbage, Euchre, Dominoes and Billiards (Pool) are scheduled regularly, as well as Crafts, Bible Study and Special Suppers. Oleander Acres' location is convenient to the historic town of Mission, Texas. You will be just a few minutes from unique local shopping, delicious and authentic Mexican food, and the white, sandy beaches of South Padre Island.
Oleander Acres is within four miles of six golf courses, and is near historic sites, including La Lomita Chapel, the El Granjeno Cemetery, and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church among several others. There are also numerous parks and natural areas where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll
among the varied habitats of the area. Boating and Fresh water fishing is also close by on the Rio Grande River. There are several entertainment spots close by like Dodge Arena, Pepe's on the River, and The Riverside. Mission is also home to several festivals including the Texas
Butterfly Festival.

Hiking along the Bentsen - Rio Grande Valley State Park Trail is tremendous fun, and Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park is a glorious place to stretch your legs a bit. Scores of fun is at this campground. Going for a hike along the Lower Rio Grande
Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Oleander Acres is not the only site close by, Bentsen Lake is a close by lake. Oleander Acres is not far at all from Mission, and since you're here you can play some golf at Martin Valley
Ranch Golf Course. If the weather is magnificent here at Oleander Acres, you can go for a hike along the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge Trail, and Shari Municipal Golf Course is a golf course close by.
