Mission Bell Resort, Texas   Mission Bell-Trade Winds RV Resort is a 55+ RV and mobile home park designed with seniors in mind.  Boasting the largest and most acousically sound dance/recreation hall in the Rio Grande Valley, this Resort is known for its great location and activities.  Within 15 minutes are 5 great golf courses, a major shopping mall, the McAllen Convention Center, a huge movie complex and many major restaurants.  The Resort boasts beautiful mature trees, concrete pads at every site, paved roads throughout the entire resort and FHUs at each site.  The rates are very     reasonable and include water, sewer, trash, wifi, free long distance calls within the USA and Canada and use of two beautiful recreation halls, two swimming pools, two jacuzzis, two pool halls, laundry facilities, shuffleboard and just about every activity imaginable.  A full time activities director makes your stay loads of fun.  Near the world butterfly and birding center, Mexico and south Padre Island, nature lovers will love this area. Don't leave Mission Bell Resort without first going for a hike along the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge Trail, and Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park is both nice and pretty. Bentsen Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and a golf course nearby is El Nino Golf Course. Going for a hike on the Bentsen - Rio Grande Valley State Park Trail is always a nice adventure, and while   you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Martin Valley Ranch Golf Course. Mission Bell Resort gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and March meanwhile is the driest month. But wait, there's more to do near Mission Bell Resort. There are good locations to look at along the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trail. This campground is so pretty. Lots of people from Mission come to Mission Bell Resort, and while you're here you can play some golf at Shari Municipal Golf Course. During the long summer days at Mission Bell Resort highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mission Bell Resort temperatures dip to the 40's.
