In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pedernales River, and close by you stumble on the Falls Trail which     is a magnificent hiking trail. For the period of the summer highs here at Miller Creek RV Park get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Miller Creek RV Park drop into the 30's. Good hiking is available along the Blanco State Park Trail. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Miller Creek RV Park. Miller Creek RV Park is not far at all from Johnson City, and visiting Blanco State Park is a good thing to do.
