If you come at the right time of year, Meridian Creek offers some great whitewater, and do pop by Meridian Lake, it's a charming lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Bosque Valley Golf Club, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Steele Creek. Don't leave Meridian State Park without first going for a hike along the Meridian State Park Trail, and lots of people from Meridian come here. something that is likely to happen. At Meridian State Park through the days of summer highs are in the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 70's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Meridian State Park are in the 20's.
There is so much fun stuff in the neighborhood of Meridian State Park, and to be at this place is always fun. The personnel of this wonderful campground and the well maintained facilities have folks coming here. From a rain point of view Meridian State Park is a pretty typical place; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is December.
