There are fine places to explore along the Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Frio River. A number of people stay at Cold Springs to be in close proximity to Garner State Park. Here at Cold Springs there are plenty of folks from Rio Frio, and going for a hike on the Garner State Park Trail is always a wonderful adventure. | |

Lost Maples State Natural Area is a pleasant place to have a look at. Sedberry Hollow is right next door to Cold Springs and is a great place, and get wet paddling on Dry Frio River. During the warm days of summer highs here at Cold Springs get into the 90's; throughout summer
nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's while Cold Springs nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. Eager to pitch that tent of yours; Cold Springs is a delightful local campground if you happen to be in Texas.
