Activities: boating, fishing and golf

I have stayed at Bethy Creek Resort three times now, twice last year and then again this week. I really appreciate the resort, expecially the owners son Randall. The first time we ever went to the resort, Randall offer to go out in our boat and show us how to access the cut to get to the Trinity River. He also showed us where not to go to avoid stumps. He always has time to talk, but works hard to keep everything up. Last year,
the rooms were indeed more of a typical fishing camp style, old, out of date, and a bit rustic. Still, they were nice. However, over the winter they remodeled all the rooms in the resort. What a change! And how nice........ It was
a big surprise when we opened the door to our room.

This last week, we had planned to stay over the weekend for 2 nights. I called and made reservations. It was basically like 230$ or so. I called back for some reason and Randall answered the phone the second time. We got to talking about nights to stay and I happened to mention that I had the week off. He told me about the 5 night special for 300$. What a deal. Check in on Sunday and out on Friday. I appreciate his taking the time to talk to me and make a few suggestings that really helpied. I find Randall more than fair and always willing to talk and work with you. He has done a couple of other very nice things to help us out to save a
bit of money that I really appreciate. I want give away any secrets, but it is stuff like that that makes me want to come back, which I will.

I have a couple of timeshares that allows me to go to different lakes/resorts. I have been to the fancy resorts and the not so fancy resorts. Bethy creek is on the top of my list. Bethy Creek is for lake people, Texas style. If it is not fancy enough for you, then go to the fancy resort cause you really aren't lake people anyway.

And then there is the Trinity River. It truly is the best place around for wake boarding/sking/tubing/knee boarding/etc. Combine the two (Trinity & Bethy), and you have a great vacation. Last weekend, my son through a big Moomba Owners Bash there also. Everyone had a great time. 20+ boats. Randall and company did everything they could to help make the bask a success. On the weekends, expect a lot of young people with fancy ski boats, loud music on the lake, and a bit of a crowd. On the weekdays, expect a very quite and relaxing time. Great for kids and best of all, they allow pets.

Thanks Randall for a great week and we will see you soon, probably in October and then again for Thanksgiving. Says Robert L
