Windrock Campground, Cumberland Plateau Mountains, Tennessee   If you're into 4-wheeling, be it quads, dirtbikes, or jeeps - this is THE PLACE to be! There are hundreds of miles of trails from easy to extreme, I hear it is like 72,000 acres big. We stayed at this campground and it was great! CLEAN, close enough to the trails to ride without hauling your bike on a trailer, and the people there are great. The Hoskins Brothers who run this place are the best! Says quad fanactic Windrock Campground is situated in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. A number of folks stay here in order to be close to Frozen Head     State Park. This is truly a pleasant campground. South Hills Golf Club is a delightful golf course nearby, and some of the water close by flows, like Granny Creek. Hiking along the Deer Trail is pleasant fun, and Calvin Hollow is unquestionably a wonderful place to stop by. All the smiling folks and the perfect quality of everything here makes the visit here worthwhile. You can run the rapids of Crooked Fork Creek in the vicinity of Windrock Campground, and a spree to Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is recommended. This place, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Take a hike on the River Bluff Trail, and there's whitewater on Little Emory River for all you adrenaline junkies. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Windrock Campground has it all. Do set   aside some time for Windrock Fields while you're here at Windrock Campground; get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Emory River. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Tennessee. Some of the things you can do here at Windrock Campground are playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of enjoyable things to do won’t happen. At Windrock Campground fun stuff to do is plentiful, and it is a fun place for young and old. Windrock Campground is a popular spot with the folks of Coalfield. This campground is so beautiful. Cove Lake State Park is a brilliant site to pop by, and dropping by Obed Wild & Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Get your camping stuff packed and get your wheels rolling; Windrock Campground in Tennessee is a perfect place to go. Through the warmest time of the year here at Windrock Campground, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Windrock Campground sink into the 20's. All the perfect local attractions nearby and the close by outdoors recreation are fine causes to come. So many entertaining things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Big Butte is clearly visible from Windrock Campground, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Coalfield here. Frozen Head State Park is a gorgeous spot any time of year. Windrock Campground sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while September is generally the driest month.
