There are hundreds of miles of trails from easy to extreme, I hear it is like 72,000 acres big. We stayed at this campground and it was great! CLEAN, close enough to the trails to ride without hauling your bike on a trailer, and the people there are great. The Hoskins Brothers who run this place are the best! Says quad fanactic While you're here at Windrock     Campground you can take a hike along the Deer Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crooked Fork Creek. A splendid location like Cove Lake State Park near Windrock Campground is too fine to leave out, and the peak of Big Butte can be made out from Windrock Campground. For the duration of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Windrock Campground; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Windrock Campground tend to be in the 20's. This campground has it all. There are plenty of folks from Oliver Springs here at Windrock Campground, and you can run the rapids of Little Emory River. A lot of precipitation falls at Windrock Campground;   the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest. Loads of fun is at this campground. Windrock Campground is next to Hoskins Valley which is beyond doubt worth going to, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Frozen Head State Park. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Playing golf is lots of fun at South Hills Golf Club; going for a hike along the River Bluff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You simply should love Windrock Campground. A great site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Windrock Campground is Emory River; naturally, all our national parks are perfect places to pop by and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is no exception. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. A journey to Obed Wild & Scenic River is worthwhile, and why not pop by close by Cow Creek while you're here at Windrock Campground.
