moisture. The view of Luke Mountain from Tuckaleechee Campground is lovely; you can go for a hike on the Rich Mountain Trail. This is in fact a great campground. Lots of folks from Townsend come to Tuckaleechee Campground; the Russell Field Trail offers hiking at its best.
A magnificent spot near Tuckaleechee Campground is Campground Hollow, and delightful hiking is available along the Vista Trail. Visit Carr Creek while you're here at Tuckaleechee Campground, and Fort Loudoun State Park is a tremendous spot to stretch your legs a bit. High temperatures
at Tuckaleechee Campground during the days of summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Tuckaleechee Campground.
