Smoky Mountain Campground is a relatively wet place ordinarily with
    a great deal of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. The welcoming ambiance and the splendid facilities have folks coming from all over. If you haven’t been to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you have
to schedule some time for it since you're here, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Cove Creek.
This campground has so much fun stuff to offer. Near Smoky Mountain Campground you come across the Sugarland Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Kodak. Going for a hike on the Meigs Mountain Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and the panorama of Hester Knob is picturesque.
Throughout the long summer days at Smoky Mountain Campground highs are generally
 
in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Smoky Mountain Campground temperatures drop to the 20's.
So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are tremendous reasons to come. There's some flowing water close by, Gann Branch is a stream you can take a look at while here. Lakes are tremendous; Douglas Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Smoky Mountain Campground. If you come to this campground, you will have a delightful time for sure. If the weather is nice here at Smoky Mountain Campground, you can go for a hike along the Laurel Falls Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Pigeon River - Middle Prong.
This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. A journey to Devils Den rejuvenates the soul; the Bunches Trace is a magnificent hiking trail close by. It's completely out of the question to run out of fun stuff to do near Smoky Mountain Campground; it is one of scores of glorious campgrounds in this region. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Smoky Mountain Campground has it all. A glorious place for whitewater paddling right next door to Smoky Mountain Campground is Little Pigeon River - West Prong; Panther Creek State Park is a good place to stop by.
While you're here at Smoky Mountain Campground you can take a hike along the Cove Mountain Trail; a round of golf at nearby River Islands Golf Club is a nice way to kill some time. Camping out sure is a great thing to do, and Smoky Mountain Campground in Tennessee is a really glorious place to spend some time.
