Mountaineer Campground, Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

  The great variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back time and again. It's very unhealthy to spend too much time indoors; you need to get out every now and then, and Mountaineer Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in Tennessee. Fort Loudoun State Park is a great place; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Anthony Creek Trail. There is a glorious hiking trail near Mountaineer Campground called the Russell Field Trail, and close by Orchard Hollow is
    a perfect spot to go.
The wonderful folks who run this site and all the wonderful passtime activities have many folks coming here.

Mountaineer Campground is a campground relatively frequently visited by folks in Townsend. here at Mountaineer Campground you can take a hike along the Vista Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little River. Mountaineer Campground is a reasonably wet place mostly with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most while October is regularly the driest month. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Great Smoky Mountains. Get dripping wet paddling on Little River; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ober Gatlinburg is relatively near.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Mountaineer Campground. Near Mountaineer Campground you stumble on the Meigs Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and one of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Mountaineer Campground is Chestnut Top Lead. This is such a delightful campground. Float down the rapids of Little River - West Prong in a kayak, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Rich Mountain Trail.
This camp ground is to be found in the delightful Great Smoky Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mountaineer Campground with overnight lows in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mountaineer Campground.
Outdoors folks generally adore this part of Tennessee.
