There are some nice whitewater spots on Pigeon River, and Banks Farms Campground is right by the Meadow Creek Mountain Trail. This is really a great campground. The friendly surroundings and the capably taken care of facilities attract people from far and wide. Farms Campground; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; October on the other hand is the driest. This campground is so scenic. Oven Creek is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at, and hiking along the Tweed Trail is delightful fun. Banks Farms Campground
is a very well esteemed campground by the people in Midway. Panther Creek State Park is both magnificent and wonderful, and it's in the neighborhood of Banks Farms Campground, and do take a hike on the Gum Springs Trail. Banks Farms Campground is in close proximity to Busler Hollow which is absolutely worth checking out, and get yourself into a kayak and hit French Broad.
