Not much precipitation falls here at Whitetail; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. People from Deadwood love to come to Whitetail, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spearfish     Creek. This campground has so much. Places like Windy Flats are fine to explore; a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Custer State Park. Whitetail is a campground that is incredibly esteemed by the people in Deadwood. Quite a lot of entertaining things to do close to Whitetail, and it is a very nice campground. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The Rapid Creek Trail is a great hiking trail next to Whitetail, and why not head up to Terry Peak and strap some skis to your feet. The delightful local attractions and such a delightful variety of outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back many times. And if that's not enough there's a heap more exciting stuff to do in the Black Hills. The sights at Mount Rushmore National Memorial will blow your mind; don't leave without popping   by Bear Butte State Park. Near Whitetail you find the Silver Arrow Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and since you're here and you like golf, you can visit Tomahawk Country Club. The accommodating operators of the campground and the skillfully run operations are a delightful pull for a lot of folks. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Black Hills. Jewel Cave National Monument is a good national park; a lovely lake like Reausaw Lake is a delightful place to go to. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Whitetail with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Whitetail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Some of the things you can do here at Whitetail are hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and playing golf, so running out of entertaining things to do won’t happen. While popping by this vicinity in South Dakota it's a nice idea to go for a weekend of camping too.
