You definitely have to stop at Bear Butte State Park if you're here at Sheridan Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Spearfish Creek. Some of the things you can do here at Sheridan Lake are hiking, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Black Hills, too perfect to be true. Custer State Park is both fine     and striking, and it's near Sheridan Lake; going for a hike on the Rapid Creek Trail is always a delightful adventure. As long as you like the outdoors you will like South Dakota. The great folks of Deadwood like to hang out nearby; unsurprisingly, all our national parks are pleasant places to have a look at and Jewel Cave National Monument is no exception. So many local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are great reasons to come. All year is a good time in the Black Hills if you fancy the outdoors. The vistas at Mount Rushmore National Memorial will blow your mind. Sheridan Lake is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Black Hills. At Sheridan Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come   with highs in the 30's while Sheridan Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Sheridan Lake is a very popular campground among the residents of Deadwood. This is beyond doubt a nice campground. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Terry Peak is next to Sheridan Lake, and don’t forget to check out Windy Flats while you're here at Sheridan Lake. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Sheridan Lake has it all. Enjoy a round of golf at Tomahawk Country Club not far from Sheridan Lake, and there are good places to discover along the Silver Arrow Trail. Got cabin fever from too much time inside, No problem at all; Sheridan Lake in South Dakota is a glorious pick. Sheridan Lake is pretty dried out frequently; the month with most of the rain is June, and January on the other hand is the driest.
