Lake Mitchell Campgrounds, South Dakota   Lake Mitchell campground was nice, stayed there for two nights and used full hook-ups. Everyone there was nice and polite. The play ground equipment could use a upgrade maybe and so could the bath house. The fire pits and grills seem a little close to parked campers. Should have long sewer hose, seems the sewer hook-ups are on wrong side of cammper's plumming. Every other stall is right, but ones in between, sewer connection is on wrong side of camper, but they do work. Picnic tables are very nice. And the lake access is good, too. We were glad     we stayed there and we will be back because of the nice people that work there. Enjoy your stay there at Lake Mitchell, we did. Lake Mitchell Campgrounds is a delightful local campground if you happen to be in South Dakota. The great people of Mitchell like to hang out nearby, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lakeview Municipal Golf Course. A round of golf at nearby Wild Oak Golf Club Banquet Room is a brilliant way to kill some time, and there are other locations here than Lake Mitchell Campgrounds, for example Lake Mitchell. Lake Mitchell Campgrounds is pretty dry ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is June, and January meanwhile is the driest month. The welcoming reception and the tremendous facilities   are reason enough to come here. There's not a lot to do close to Lake Mitchell Campgrounds but it positively is a delightful campground. Lake Mitchell Campgrounds is frequently visited by the people of Mitchell. This campground is a delightful place to have a look at. South Dakota has a lot of outdoors activities. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the entertaining stuff you can do is fishing, playing golf, and swimming, so it's totally impossible to get bored. For the duration of the long summer days here at Lake Mitchell Campgrounds, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; night lows at Lake Mitchell Campgrounds through the winter mostly fall into the 0's.
