Bear Gulch - Black Hills National Forest, Black Hills, South Dakota   This camp ground is positioned in the charming Black Hills. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, you need to get out of the house, and Bear Gulch in South Dakota is such a good place. Bear Gulch is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is January. Bear Gulch is a top choice with the folks of Deadwood. Custer State Park is worth visiting if you're at Bear Gulch, and there are wonderful places to explore along the Rapid Creek Trail. All through the long summer days, highs ordinarily     are in the 80's at Bear Gulch. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Bear Gulch. A fine place like Windy Flats here at Bear Gulch is too pleasant to miss, and you can run the rapids of Spearfish Creek. This campground is so charming. Go for a hike on the Silver Arrow Trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Tomahawk Country Club. There are so many amusing things to do near Bear Gulch, and spending time at this campground is very enjoyable. You completely must have a thing about the Black Hills. Bear Butte State Park is a splendid site to go if you're at Bear Gulch. A visit to South Dakota is not complete without some camping. There's more to do right next door to Bear   Gulch other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, hiking, and playing golf, so it's not possible to get bored. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. What would winter be without some skiing at Terry Peak, and if you have the time, Jewel Cave National Monument is a national park worth a visit. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Black Hills. A journey to Mount Rushmore National Memorial is worthwhile; there are plenty of folks from Deadwood here at Bear Gulch.
