During the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area are in the 20's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Reedy River; Lake Greenwood State Park is worth stopping at. If you come at the right time of year, South Tyger River offers some nice whitewater; let's not forget Brightmans Creek which is a stream that you may run into while you're here.
