Westwood Ymca gets lots of water; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Flat River Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Westwood Ymca. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Westwood Ymca called the Ross Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some glorious whitewater. This campground is a beautiful place to pop by. Bear Brook is a magnificent local stream; at Westwood Ymca you always meet someone from Coventry. A day on the slopes of Yawgoo Valley is just what you need, and if you haven’t been to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor, you have to schedule some time for it since you're here. Having a good time at Westwood Ymca is simple. Going for a hike on the   Munyan Trail is always a good adventure, and enjoy a round of golf at Coventry Pines Country Club. At this campground you will always have a pleasant time. A round of golf at nearby East Greenwich Golf Course is a great way to kill some time, and close by you find Raymonds Point. This campground is so pleasant. There are nice places to discover along the Narragansett Trail, and a splendid vista of striking Hungry Hill is available. All the outdoors entertaining stuff close to Westwood Ymca will keep you coming back time and again. Near Westwood Ymca you come across the Walkabout Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; the sights at Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind. Summertime highs at Westwood Ymca ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Westwood Ymca. Paddling on Clear and Branch is so much fun, and why not explore a swamp like Mishnock Swamp while you're here at Westwood Ymca.
