Camp Ponagansett, Rhode Island   You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This is such a fun site for a campground. Chopmist Hill is clearly visible from Camp Ponagansett, and do check out Cherry Valley Pond Dam since you're here. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's whitewater paddling, swimming, playing golf, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. All the water falling down from the sky makes Camp Ponagansett     a wet place; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is February. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Camp Ponagansett get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Camp Ponagansett temperatures plunge to the 10's. All the cheery folks and scores of amusing things to do have people coming from all over. Country View Golf Club is a golf course next to Camp Ponagansett, and a spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. This campground is always a bliss. Lots of folks from Chepachet come to Camp Ponagansett, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Quinebaug River. And that's not all you can do   here at Camp Ponagansett. Why not go to nearby Peckham Brook if you're here at Camp Ponagansett, and hiking along the Walkabout Trail is splendid fun. Golf can be played at Crystal Lake Golf Club, and don't leave without visiting Quaddick State Park. A number of people stay at this campground when going to Steers Beach. The good pick of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back again and again. There's whitewater on Clear and Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and a magnificent place like Douglas State Forest is too great to leave out. If the weather is good here at Camp Ponagansett, you can go for a hike along the Border Trail, and if you get bored of Camp Ponagansett you could also visit close by Hopkins Mills Pond. Camp Ponagansett is a campground reasonably often visited by the people from Chepachet. It's not possible to run out of amusing things to do in the neighborhood of Camp Ponagansett; to be here is always fun. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Camp Ponagansett has it all. For you golfers we recommend close by Melody Hill Country Club, and a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Matunuck Shore Break. This campground is a stunning site to stop by. A tour to Steers Beach close to Camp Ponagansett is always a fine idea; Camp Ponagansett is right by the Ross Trail. Camping in Rhode Island is such a fun thing to do. There are swamps here too; Schwindel Swamp is around here, and if you have time to spare, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth visiting.
