Camp Ponagansett, Rhode Island

  Many folks stay here in order to be next to Steers Beach. This campground is so pleasant. Why not explore a swamp like Schwindel Swamp since you're here at Camp Ponagansett, and if time allows, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Camp Ponagansett. A spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile, and the Ross Trail offers hiking at its best. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Walkabout Trail,
    and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear and Branch.
Eager to pitch that tent; Camp Ponagansett in Rhode Island is such a great spot. Chopmist Hill can be seen from Camp Ponagansett; while you're here you can play some golf at Country
View Golf Club.
This is beyond doubt a pleasant campground. Camp Ponagansett is right by the Munyan Trail, and get soaked paddling on Matunuck Shore Break. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Chepachet here, and hiking along the Border Trail is great fun.
The personnel that controls this campground and a lot of amusing stuff to do makes the spree here worthwhile. Be careful coming to Camp Ponagansett, you might not ever wanna return home again. Yawgoo Valley is a tremendous local ski area; a golf course nearby is Crystal Lake Golf Club.
 
Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is fishing, playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. This part of Rhode Island is always a diversion to explore through camping season. Quaddick State Park is both delightful and gorgeous, and it's in close proximity to Camp Ponagansett; near Camp Ponagansett you discover a golf course called Melody Hill Country Club.
At Camp Ponagansett during the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Camp Ponagansett. All the water falling down from the sky makes Camp Ponagansett a wet location; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. A trip to Steers Beach next to Camp Ponagansett is always a fine idea, and Camp Ponagansett is near Douglas State Forest which is a scenic site.
The perfect local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back again and again. Cherry Valley Pond Dam is worth a visit since you're here, and swing by Peckham Brook it's a delightful site to stop at.
Hopkins Mills Pond is a great lake in close proximity to Camp Ponagansett, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Quinebaug River. Camp Ponagansett is a very well prized campground by folks of Chepachet.
Camp Ponagansett is situated in an area with a lot of amusing stuff to do, and it's always fun to be at this campground.
