| | My family visited this campground in the summer of 2009. We were very happy to find spacious sites, clean facilities, helpful employees, and a very quiet campground. This was easily one of the most beautiful and definately the quietist campground I have ever been to! Thanks Stony Mountain and keep up the good work!

it's always fun to explore Lackawanna State Park, and Meshoppen Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Here at Stony Mountain Campground you'll probably meet some folks from Tunkhannock. While you're here at Stony Mountain Campground you can take a hike along the
| Pinnacle Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Shadowbrook Resort Golf Course is around here. Stony Mountain Campground is near Frances Slocum State Park which is a scenic place, and a round of golf at nearby Stonehedge Country Club is a fine way to kill some time. Stony Mountain Campground, and paddling on Mehoopany Creek is so much fun. It's just not possible to get bored in Pennsylvania if you have a thing about the outdoors. Playing golf is lots of fun at Emanon Country Club, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can
always go whitewater paddling on Bowman Creek. Summer at Stony Mountain Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the
10's for Stony Mountain Campground. The workforce that manages this campground and the perfect facilities are incentive enough to come here. You've been indoors for too much time, you've got to get out of the house, and Stony Mountain Campground is a good local campground if
you happen to be in Pennsylvania. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Not far from Stony Mountain Campground, you'll stumble on Cruver Pond which is a scenic lake, and getting to Tunkhannock Creek from Stony Mountain Campground is uncomplicated. This campground
is so glorious. Sno Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and a tremendous location is Benson Hollow. Stony Mountain Campground is a campground that is very loved by people from Tunkhannock. Many people camp here to go to close by Frances Slocum State Park.
The magnificent local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are wonderful incentives to come. An average amount of rain falls at Stony Mountain Campground; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January.
