| | All the water falling down from the sky makes Scenic Riders a wet place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Don't leave Scenic Riders without visiting Cook Forest State Park, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Canoe Creek. Many folks stay at this campground in order to be near Cook Forest State Park.

| Oil Creek State Park in the neighborhood of Scenic Riders is too glorious to leave out. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Scenic Riders with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Scenic Riders dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Lakes are great; Piney Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Scenic Riders, and don't forget to take a wonderful little spree to Toby Creek.
