You're sure to encounter some cheerful people from Fort Loudon here, and nearby you stumble on the Cowans Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Big Cove Creek; hiking is a popular thing to do around Saint Johns Church Camp; Wagner Trail is a good local trail. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Licking Creek, and going for     a hike on the Mile Trail is always a good adventure. High temperatures at Saint Johns Church Camp throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Saint Johns Church Camp temperatures fall to the 10's. Saint Johns Church Camp beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Cowans Gap is a good place to pop by close by; you can go for a hike on the Bird Trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bricker Run; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sideling Hill Creek. This campground is a wonderful location to stop by. You'll find a pretty lake called Cowans Gap Lake near Saint Johns Church Camp, and fine   hiking is available along the Fox Trail. Coming to this campground is always a wonderful idea. Places like Greenbrier State Park are delightful to stop by. The annual precipitation here at Saint Johns Church Camp is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
