Lakes are great; Cowans Gap Lake is a lake that's close to Saint Johns Church Camp; lots of people from Fort Loudon come here. The Wagner Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Saint Johns Church Camp, and paddling on Big Cove Creek is so much fun. Going     for a hike along the Mile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Sideling Hill Creek.
