| | If you come at the right time of year, Marsh Creek offers some great whitewater, and not far from Round Top Campground you'll stumble on Zinkand Pond which is a wonderful lake. The kind environment and the glorious facilities are a glorious attraction for lots of folks. Patuxent River State Park is a wonderful location, and there's whitewater on Owens Creek for all you adrenaline kick people.
The glorious selection of local attractions, and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation are good incentives to come. This is such a charming campground. |
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Conewago Creek - West, and you can go for a hike on the Lippencot Trail.
The warmest time of the year at Round Top Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends
| | down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Round Top Campground are in the 20's. This is such a wonderful campground. Scenic Vista Trail is a magnificent local trail.
A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some camping. Round Top Campground is not far at all from Gettysburg, and Plum Run is in the vicinity of Round Top Campground and is always a pleasure to pop by.
Outdoors recreation
is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, playing golf, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Round Top Campground is a campground pretty often visited by people from Gettysburg. From a precipitation
point of view Round Top Campground is a reasonably normal place; most of the rain falls all through June, and the driest of the months is January.
