Refreshing Mountain Camp, Pennsylvania

| | Refreshing Mountain Camp is a non-denomination, Christ Centered Retreat Center. We have retreat facilities for up to 400 persons, as well as 15 campsites (water/electric) and 20 tentsites (no water/electric). We offer a family oriented environment for campers.
No alcohol permitted on-site. Guests at our pool are asked to wear modest swimming attire (boxer style shorts for men and 1 piece suits for women, or a t-shirt can be worn over a 2-piece suit).
We have a pool with wet playground, waterslide and diving board, as well as a High Adventure |
Ropes Course, Climbing Tower, Paintball Obstacle Course, and other activities (advance scheduling is required for activities, and generally works best with groups of 10+ persons).
Pressurized bathhouses are offered. Showers are coin-op.
Go for a hike on the Foxs
| Path, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Susquehanna River. Middle Creek Dam is a site that is close to Refreshing Mountain Camp, and wonderful hiking is available along the Northkill Path. If you're here at Refreshing Mountain Camp, you could pop by Elders Run; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Blue Marsh since you're here. And that's not all you can do here at Refreshing Mountain Camp. An afternoon playing golf at Foxchase Golf Club is always a pleasure, and Locust Lake State Park is a great place to go. is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Muddy Creek - Susquehanna Tributary, and a scenic lake like Middle Creek Reservoir is a wonderful place to have a look at. This campground has so much. There are some great whitewater spots on Fishing Creek - Susquehanna
Tributary; close by you locate the Blue Blazed Trail which is a good hiking trail. Lots of fun is at this campground. During your trip to Refreshing Mountain Camp you'll meet some folks from Newmanstown for sure, and going for a hike on the Werts Path is always a great adventure.
That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Refreshing Mountain Camp has it all. Tuscarora State Park is worth a visit if you're at Refreshing Mountain Camp. Refreshing Mountain Camp gets a lot of water; during July this area sees the most rain, and February is the month
with the least moisture. For you golfers we recommend nearby West View Golf Course, and there's good hiking along the Klines Path. For the duration of the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Refreshing Mountain Camp. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Refreshing Mountain Camp.

AMENITIES
Tent camping is available - 20 sites RV hookups are available - 15 RV hookups - 15 sites. No sewer hookup, but a dumping station is available. Pets are allowed - Additional charge of $5 per pet per day. Must be on a leash and must be Campfires are allowed - Fire rings and picnic tables available on each site. Has Store - Camp Store is open 12-7PM most days during the summer months. Mainly Grocery store nearby - 15 minute drive. Pool - Pool has a wet playground, 30 ft tube slide, and diving board. Modest swim Game Room - Pool table, ping pong, foosball available at scheduled times
